I’m a mom of two boys, and for most of my life, I lived in the fast-paced, demanding world of corporate life. I knew what it meant to be “on.” I knew how to show up, push through, and take care of everyone else.

But when perimenopause hit, everything changed.

Suddenly, my body wasn’t responding the way it used to. I was gaining weight for no reason, sleeping terribly, snapping at the people I love — and feeling completely unlike myself. I tried the patch. I tried the gels. I didn’t want to just cope. I wanted to feel like me again.

So I decided to do something radical: I took back control.

I went back to school and re-certified as a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, specializing in the area very few openly spoke about: women’s health during perimenopause and menopause.

And that’s when The Pause Effect was born.
